Satu Runa is a graduate of Stella Adler Studio of Acting, New York and is a member of SAG-AFTRA and the Actors’ Equity Association. She was taught by notable actors such as Academy Award winner, Mark Rylance, Anthony Zerbe (American Hustle, The Matrix Reloaded), and Andrew Wade (Royal Shakespeare Company), and Kevin McDonald (Kids in the Hall). She trains at The Groundlings and UCB in Los Angeles.

Performing in various theater productions in New York and San Francisco (Cabaret, Winter's Tale, Two Gentlemen of Verona, Jesus Christ Superstar, Trojan Women), Satu has also appeared on TV shows such as Dawson's Creek, The Eric Andre Show, including a recurring role on Rizzoli & Isles. 

She has performed several supporting and lead roles in independent films (The Coalition, Magnolia Pictures) and has booked national commercial campaigns of Maybelline, NBC’s Bring the Funny, and Dr. Pepper.

Satu trained for 8 years in ballet, tap, and jazz. She is a professional level bellydance and bhangra dancer, training at the Broadway Dance Center and Bollywood Axion for 4 years. She appeared as a professional dancer in the feature film, Killer Punjabi (2013).
